The Khopesh sword was used by the ancient Egyptians and first see as early as the 15th century BC. It had a deep curvature near its tip and resembled a sickle more than what we typically think of as a sword. It was typically used in battle but also had ceremonial uses. The blade was made of bronze, while the handle could be wrapped with leather or crafted from wood.
