LIABILITY WAIVER AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT

Knife Making Class

By joining this class, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Acknowledgment of Risk

I understand that participation in a knife-making class involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

Use of sharp tools, blades, grinders, saws, and other cutting instruments

Exposure to high heat, open flames, hot metal, and forging equipment

Operation of power tools and machinery

Flying debris, sparks, and metal fragments

Risk of burns, cuts, lacerations, eye injuries, and other bodily injury

Physical strain from hammering, lifting, and repetitive motion

I acknowledge that these risks may result in serious injury, permanent disability, or death.

2. Assumption of Risk

I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage, personal injury, or death that may result from participation in the knife-making class, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

3. Release and Waiver of Liability

I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue [Business Name], its owners, instructors, employees, agents, representatives, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, damages, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to any injury, illness, loss, or damage that may occur during or as a result of my participation in the class.

4. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the above-mentioned parties from any loss, liability, damage, or costs, including attorney’s fees, arising from my participation in the class.

5. Medical Treatment

I authorize the instructor or staff to seek emergency medical treatment on my behalf if necessary. I understand that I am responsible for any medical costs incurred.

6. Compliance with Safety Rules

I agree to:

Follow all safety instructions provided by instructors

Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Not operate any equipment without instruction or supervision

Immediately report unsafe conditions

Failure to follow safety rules may result in removal from the class without refund.

7. Fitness to Participate

I certify that I am physically and mentally capable of participating safely in this activity and have disclosed any relevant medical conditions that may affect my participation.

8. Photography Release (Optional)

I grant permission for photos or videos taken during the class to be used for promotional purposes unless I notify the business in writing otherwise.

9. Severability

If any portion of this agreement is found to be invalid, the remainder shall continue in full force and effect.
